More Info: Chevelle is an owner surrender. He was part of a domestic abuse situation.
Training: Current on DA2PPL, Rabies, Heartworm Negative and preventative started. Avid Microchip implanted.
Additional Info: Chevelle is a nice girl who came into rescue when his mom couldn't care for him any more. She came in w/her buddy, Ra.
Chevelle is very shy. She is a super sweet girl, but it takes her a couple of weeks to learn people aren't scary. She will bolt if she's scared (and she can clear a 6' fence). Once Chevelle settles in, she's a super silly girl. She loves playing w/the other dogs, but she will put her foot down if they are getting too obnoxious!
Chevelle is a diamond in the rough. She is a wonderful dog for the person who is willing to be patient w/her and help her work through her fears. She is mostly a dog who hasn't been socialized at all; everything is new to her. She is house and crate trained. Chevelle would do best w/kids ages 12+. Her new home will need to be patient w/her and help her work through this initial shyness. Until she's comfortable, she will be a flight risk and will need to be kept on lead and never allowed loose outside of a secured, fenced-in area. She will require a home who will be diligent about leash walking her only.
This foster dog is fed with food provided by Chuck and Don's Pet Food Outlet.
