Johnny is a friendly dude who is really excited to find his forever home. He was originally adopted from a shelter as a puppy and they believed him to be a border collie x aussie mix. We think there may be some spaniel in there as well. His coat wasn't in great shape when he came in, so he had a spa day and is lookin' fine! His normal coat is long like a border collie or aussie- he'll grow back out to have a coat that matches that tail! He was very good for his groom (bath, trim, nails, everything).
Johnny is good w/people, but a little aloof when he first meets them. He warms up quickly though and seems to be pretty happy-go-lucky. He's good w/other dogs and was very respectful of our cats. He is house and crate trained and has been a house pet for his entire life. He is good in the house and pretty easy keeper. Johnny came into foster care a bit heavy- he's been on the weight loss plan for a while and it's going good, we feel he could still loose a few more, though.
Johnny is a lower medium energy guy (on the border collie scale). He would be a fine pet for a family. He's been reported to be herdy w/small kids, so we are recommending a home w/teeangers and up. He would be a great walking partner, or maybe even a jogging buddy once he gets into shape. Johnny respects a 4' fence in foster care and he likes playing w/toys. Johnny will be an easy addition to most families.
