We are still learning about Hero and working to get some groceries on him. The dogs from this situation had always lived in kennel runs and we are unsure how much training/human interaction they've had. Hero is a sweet guy (despite his judgey profile pic) but you can tell he just craves attention and doesn't always know how to act appropriately. He's never had rules or boundaries.
Hero is a typical young malinois who's had no direction. His mouth is his go-to for every emotion. Happy? Nibble fingers. Worried? Nibble fingers. Excited? Nibble fingers. LOL Malinois = mouth. Hero will greatly benefit from obedience training and learning how to exist w/a purpose in life. He does appear to know what a tug and clatter stick are. I do believe he's had some drive building (but nothing more then that- his OUT is non-existent). He is social with people. He will bark at other dogs when they walk by his kennel, but seems aloof w/them when they are out together (supervised so far). He will not do well w/cats and be way too much dog for kids.
Hero is working on his house and crate training. He has respected the 6' fence in foster care so far. Hero is looking for a malinois experience foster/home who will DO things with him. He needs both physical and mental outlets. We feel he could do dog sports with time and training. We will keep updating his bio as we learn more about him.
Please note: Hero does not have the appropriate drive or temperament levels for detection/law enforcement work.
