Zook's foster family has done a TON of work with him. He's been through several obedience and agility classes. He loves learning new things (and knows tons of tricks!) but is pretty easy going- he's smart as a whip but more of a Netflix and Chill sort of dude. Zook loves to go for car rides and is a pro at them! He is house and crate trained too. Zook is fine with pretty much everyone he meets. He's good with other dogs, seems to ignore cats, and loves people.
Zook is super-duper cute in a puppy sort of way- this is due to the fact that he has malabsorption. His body doesn't process foods the way it should. He will require a specific diet and medication for the rest of his life. Due to this he hasn't physically matured like a normal puppy with (and he'll always likely be very small). He still has a fuzzy puppy coat despite being 8 months old. He is slowly loosing his puppy teeth too. He's a bit stunted in his growth as it took quite a while to get to the bottom of his medical needs.
Zook is an AMAZING puppy. He's pretty much the perfect border collie for someone who loves the breed and the smarts but doesn't want the crazy energy. Zook loves to play w/his floppy disc, but also just loves to chill out. He'd probably be a great therapy dog candidate! We are looking for a home who can love Zook for who is is- and a home who can commit to his lifelong care. He's totally and completely worth it- we guarantee it! Zook would likely be fine with kids 8+ years old. He loves romping in a fenced yard and playing with other dogs. Zook needs a pretty special family- is that you? Zook was born December 2018. His foster home has worked hard w/him and he knows LOTS of tricks (sit, down, crawl, spin, twist, shake, sit pretty, bow, pray, speak) he's smart as a whip and thrives on learning. He loves car rides and rides well. been through obedience and agility classes, although agility isn't his thing, as he's to mellow... he tends to be a chewer if not given enough toys, he loves toys... but he's still a puppy....he is good with everything and everyone hes ever met, hes been to parades, camping, kayaking, boating.. hes pretty much bomb proof.. he loves the other dogs and thinks the flippy flopper is the best thing ever. He does have malabsorption which means he cant absorb food properly, requiring him to have to specific food and daily meds he will need the rest of his life.. he is crate trained and about 90% housebroken
