Queenie--UPDATED 10.11.11

  • Breed: Newfoundland x
  • Age: .1.5 year old
  • Sex: Female/Spayed
  • Color: Black/White
  • Size: 65 pounds/24" tall
  • Vet History: Current on DA2PPL, Rabies, Heartworm Negative and preventative started. Avid Microchip implanted.
  • Adoption Fee: $300
  • More Info: Queenie was a stray.
  • Training: Queenie has had no formal training.
  • Additional Info: Queenie came into a shelter w/her puppies, another rescue took her puppies, but left her (how awful is that?!?!). The shelter had another litter of pups who were w/out a mom, so Queenie became their surrogate mother. Those pups are all now adopted out, but no one adopted Queenie. She was at the top of the euthanize list when we pulled this silly girl.
  • Queenie is probably not a border collie at all. We are thinking she could be a Newfoundland mix. She is a bigger girl, at around 65#. She is a total puppy (a big puppy). She likes to play w/the other dogs and w/people. She will benefit from an obedience class w/her new family. She's learning how to be polite while in foster care, but she does forget now and then. She likes to just be a silly goof ball!

Queenie is doing well on her house training and is completely crate trained. She likes to play w/other dogs and would love a dog who is her size (or bigger) to really rough-house with. Queenie is fine w/people and kids, but due to her puppy-like energy and size, kids ages 8+ would be ideal. Queenie is a medium energy level girl. She'd be a great running partner or a companion or an active family.

This foster dog is fed with food provided by Chuck and Don’s Pet Food Warehouse.

    Queenie 7.20.11
