  • Additional Info: Sadie is a big girl who came into foster care when her family realized they didn't have the time for her high energy.

    • Sadie is a purebred malinois. According to her previous owners both of her parents are working police dogs. Sadie has had no protection training and has been a pet her entire life. Sadie's brother is also reported to be a competitive dock dog. Sadie's owners reported she likes water, so maybe she could do dock diving!

    Sadie is good w/kids. She is also reported to be good with cats (although we'd want to explore this a bit more). She is good w/other dogs, but does play quite rough sometimes (bigger dogs are probably better then small dogs). Sadie knows some basic commands. Sadie likes to de-stuff toys but doesn't have a ton of toy drive so far. At this point, Sadie is NOT an ideal candidate for SAR/Detection/Protection work. Sadie is a HIGH energy girl. She needs DAILY physical and mental outlets for her energy. She requires a 5-6' fence in her new home. Sadie is not a calm couch potato. This dog has no off switch. She will start basic obedience training while in foster care and agility training. Sadie will only go to a home who is experienced with malinois and is either a sports home or a very active home.

    This foster dog is fed with food provided by Chuck and Don’s Pet Food Warehouse.
